Our Story

At 6 Star Tech, we don’t look at campgrounds from a distant corporate office. We build our solutions directly from the trenches of outdoor hospitality. 6 Star Tech is the master agency hub for campground tech infrastructure, digital marketing, and custom development—and it is the proud engine behind 5star.camp, our proprietary guest-experience web application.

Every piece of technology we build is rooted in real, boots-on-the-ground operational experience.

Built for the Outdoors. Engineered for the Modern Guest.

Long before I ever managed an RV park, my career started in the digital world, designing and building complex systems and platforms on the internet. I’ve spent decades engineering tech solutions across wildly different industries—from building one of the original online freight brokering platforms for the logistics sector, to developing massive multi-vendor digital product marketplaces, e-commerce stores, and custom websites for community organizations and churches.

But a few years back, after the end of a long-term relationship, I hit a crossroads. I needed a complete change of pace and scenery.

On pure fate, I walked away from the familiar tech landscape and took a management position at a campground across the country. The pay cut was massive. The fears that come with uprooting your entire life to jump into the unknown were absolutely real. But it didn't take long for me to realize that this world—the outdoor hospitality community—was exactly what my life had been missing all along.

I leaned into my background in systems and optimization. I took a park that had been steadily losing money year after year and completely turned it around. We didn't just make it profitable; we built a foundation that allowed it to keep gaining massive momentum every single month, long after I moved on.

A couple of parks and success stories later, fate stepped in again. A beautiful RV park in Branson, Missouri—a place I had been deeply fond of and had a longing to live in since I was a 15-year-old boy—was purchased by new owners. I packed up, headed to the Ozarks, and took the management position right here in Branson to help them execute their vision.

Ready to upgrade your park's digital footprint with someone who speaks the language?

5 Star Camp was born directly from those intense, real-life experiences running RV parks across the country. It was forged in the moments of trying to communicate with hundreds of arriving guests, managing maintenance on the fly, and realizing that existing software just didn't cut it.

But 6 Star Tech was built because that web app idea was only the beginning. Even though a great guest app changes the game, a campground’s digital ecosystem is much larger. A great app is useless if your guests can’t connect to the internet, or if your park doesn't have the marketing engine to keep its sites booked.

That is why we bridge the gap between physical property infrastructure and digital excellence:

  • Park-Wide Infrastructure Expertise: We specialize in mapping out complex, outdoor tech footprints—from routing Cat6 lines to configuring high-performance mesh Wi-Fi systems that actually penetrate aluminum RV rigs and eliminate dead zones.

  • Frictionless E-Commerce & Marketing: We build high-converting online stores, apparel brands, and localized marketing funnels that capture attention, drive revenue, and handle transactions smoothly.

  • Built by an Operator, for Operators: We don't just sell software. We build the exact tools, systems, and networks that I know firsthand a modern park needs to thrive.

Through 6 Star Tech and 5star.camp, our mission is clear:

We engineer the digital infrastructure and guest applications that modern campgrounds run on.

Let’s elevate your property together.
